What we do – Stakeholder engagement
We work with clients to:
- understand their objectives, develop strategies and validate them through stakeholder analysis and reviews
- develop, execute and evaluate stakeholder engagement programmes designed to manage risk and ensure that strategic objectives are delivered
- advise on the management of relations between companies, regulators, government, agencies and other sponsors in order to add value
- devise broader communications and positioning programmes aligned with strategic and reputational goals
Successful management of an organisation’s reputation, consistent with its vision and values, is increasingly seen as important to long-term and sustainable success, and as a source of value in its own right.
The stakeholders who own that reputation influence the environment in which an organisation operates and their support is needed to maintain an organisation’s ‘licence to operate’. If organisations do not actively manage their reputations, others will do it for them - for better or worse.
Stakeholders also influence strategy as successful implementation is conditional on stakeholder actions in response to the choices organisations and people make. Alignment of organisational objectives with the interests of key stakeholders can help deliver an organisation’s strategy; lack of alignment can hinder or prevent it.
Engagement is the process organisations use for involving stakeholders in developing and successfully implementing their strategy and plans.
